Are you a manual transmission VA or VB WRX owner that finds yourself wishing you had SI Drive like the CVT models? This custom feature unlocks code hidden in your calibration to permit switching between Sport, Sport#, and Intelligent modes. Also included is the basic logic you can build on top of to create your own user defined maps above and beyond the SI drive configuration.
To switch SI drive modes, press and hold Cruise Cancel on your steering wheel. Your tachometer will snap to your current drive mode (1000 RPM=Sport, 2000 RPM=Sport#, 3000 RPM=Intelligent). Use the cruise rocker switch on the steering wheel to cycle through different modes and press Cruise Cancel again to select the new mode.
Additional tuning of SI-drive related tables across the ECU is required to make use of this change.
